So it was still early for Bourbon street. It occurred around 9:30, and the crowds had grown. We crossed over the road. We passed by the cops on their horses, little hot dog stands, and dodged the puddles of spilled liquor and urine. When we got to Tropical Isle’s Bayou Club, it is customary that they ID you before entering. We entered and ordered our style of the hand grenade. The hand grenade is Tropical Isle’s signature liquid concoction. You order the daiquiris either on the rocks or frozen. The girls got theirs on the rocks while we got ours frozen.

We stayed there dancing, sipping on our drinks, and getting to know each other. Dani and I learned so much about Indigo and Jevaun, including how they met. Indi did most of the explaining.

Indigo Musa graduated from Loyola University with her Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business with a minor in Women’s Studies. She plans to build centers in the US and Nigeria to help girls like her become more invested in entrepreneurship.

Now, Jevaun Black graduated from Tulane University with his Bachelors of Science in Management with an entrepreneurship specialization and a minor in Music Science and Technology. He wanted to manage artists in music someday.

They met growing up in New Orleans. They have always had friends since 5th grade. His mother, Alvita, loved her. Both of them worked at a Verizon call center. By the time Indigo finished talking, it was 10:45, and we had finished our drinks.

“We are taking over the world,” Indi stated. Jay looked at her, giving her a slight nod of the head.

“So, y’all, let’s go to Razzoo’s,” I stated excitedly.
